Why do people talk about wheels as if they are just accessories or decoration for a car?
Wheels are a big part of a car just like doors, engine and suspension.

OP's not talking about performance.
He's talking about how wheels can either make or break a car's image. And to that, I agree. The first thing that stands out to me are a car's wheels. I've seen shitboxes salvaged by a good choice in wheels, and I've seen normally beautiful cars ruined by a poor choice in wheels.
