Good album but it sounds like they were trying too hard to be heavy. Not their best.

If anything the album was made without an effort. Phil actually didn't even record with them in person. He did vocals over their instrumentation. The band was separated during the recording. This album is actually hard, because this after Phil Overdosed and died for a few minutes

I'd say Vulgar Display of Power is their best album but Far Beyond Driven is definitely their heaviest.

I don't know, it just doesn't sound very heavy. I can probably name 30 albums off the top of my head that sound heavier.
I've been listening to Pentagram occasionally but listened this through after watching the documentary about Bobby Liebling, Last Days Here. Holy shit this album kicks ass so much
