Boz Scaggs was literally a blue-eyed soul artist. I dunno why people equate soft rock with whiteness when much of it was imitation of contemporary black music. If you listen to some of the European hits of the time (the pre-punk 70s) such as Paloma Blanca, the distinction between American soft rock/soul as black music and European "schlager" music as a genre almost untouched by American blackness becomes apparent.

The majority of Nazi/white supremacist power electronics is some of the most white music around.
It's contemporary but owes nothing to rock or blues; jazz may have led to it in form but the content (not the lyrics, just the fact that there's little melody or rhythm) divorces itself from this sole black musical influence.
