I hardly ever get gifts anymore but my mom bought me Blackstar on vinyl for my birthday a couple weeks ago.
It was a nice gift, not only because the album is great and the packaging is nice but because when I got a record player she gave me all her old ones including Diamond Dogs and I never got into Bowie until then. Now he's one of my favorite artists

That story is heart warming actually. My parents had "The Greatest Hits" Bowie collection, but it wasn't until years later I discovered Scary Monsters and fell in love.
