Same reason people keep checking their watch, or keep drinking. It is a force of habit. When you do it enough, you start reaching for these things without realizing it. People who have a bad habit of drinking will replace that habit with the AA meetings, which they will go to whenever they feel that craving. If you keep checking facebook every day and then delete your account, you will still feel the need to check it each time you open up your browser. If you stop masturbating or stop checking the internet after a week or two, you will stop feeling the need to do it.
If you legitimately want to change your habit of coming here, replace it with another habit.
