Our capital is a hellhole in a similar fashion. Nigs after the civil war fled there because "muh emancipation proclamation" but then did nothing other than become criminals. Thanks to the federal government it votes the same regardless of the economy (everywhere else reacts to a bad economy). Its full of immigrants and only recently started gentrifying. After Louisiana it has the most violent crimes. In one of the few "white" parts if the city in 2004 I paid $9 for 12 oz of beer. Luckily it has started gentrifying but it'll be another 10 years before its not a total hellhole. TLDR if you come to the U.S. don't judge us based on DC.
