Not really, it's simply more formal. Even with english, there's a colloquial and more formal way to communicate. In Arabic it's simply more pronounced (to varying degrees, depending on where you from).

The thing is that we are so divided on sociopolticalreligous lines that it is bound for a political group to appeal to a certain demography and grab power, like Hezbo in Lebanon now, Assad in Syria etc
Thats why the concept of federalism that Kataeb brings is kind of logical, lets agree to the status quo: lets have a federation of the Levantine. "Jewish" Israel would be one canton, "Muslim" Palestine and the south of Lebanon another, "Christian" Mount Lebanon another, "Druze" Mount Druze another etc
Multiconfessionalism is encouraged, Christians living in Muslim regions would be ok because at its core the division maintains the "native" culture so no fear of "Christianization" or "Islamization'
