Her albums sell very well but in regards to pure popularity she has intentionally watered down her marketing after Electra Heart was a major success. She has explicitly stated she didn't want to become this mega pop star (which was about to happen after Electra Heart became a smash hit) so she made Froot a relatively solo project with little marketing. It ties back around to her first album, the first song actually, which is about how she feels she's basically sold her soul/normal life to the label when she signed her contract. Shes a smart gal and I respect the shit out of her for intentionally not selling out when she had the opportunity.
