Sooooo i wanna get this fire/flare effect on my logo but i'm fucking up everytime i'm trying to make something like it. Do any of you guys know any methods of doing so?

don't do it. i never seen a decent logo that have flare on it. but if you are making a banner try looking for itzqehzy or mbapsgraphics (http://mbapsgfx.carbonmade.com) on youtube they both made a photoshop pack with different effects (flares, grunge textures, particles etc.) so other people can use on their designs.
