My friend told me that the theory as to why girls and especially our generation of girls have it so much is for a couple reasons.
One is our backpacks we wore every day and not having lockers. Girls are weaker so the backpacks were harder on their spines.
Two is feminine body language. Girls are more insecure, especially in adolescence. So their body language is often small and closed off. Arms crossed and slouching.
Combine an arms crossed and slouching posture with the backpacks we wore and you have a recipe for scoliosis.
The music chicks commonly used to be insecure which is why they tried to find a social niche outside of the norm.
And that is the theory on why girls in the music scene and girls of our generation so commonly have scoliosis.
