Works on only some websites. The thing is, trying to buy this physical item is a pain in the ass and 'thighband' isn't actually the term for it. Googling that gives you basically nothing. Only time I can find any is accidentally when I buy normal pantyhose.

The best way I know is to find sheer to waist hose and look for a brand that has a distinct band where the crotch starts.
Alternatively you could try mock thigh-high hose, because it's pretty easy to find ones that don't have different colours or designs.
Also don't skimp and buy chinese shit off ebay or aliexpress, get the good stuff like wolford & falke.

Below and above the thigh band needs to have the same sheerness, the thigh band being the darkest part.
