Summary:

Laurel is the definition of ironic tragedy. For 2 whole seasons she was the absolute worst thing about this show. In fact the only really bad thing about it. Everyone wanted her gone. And then slowly since last season started, she actually got turned into a decent and likable character. As the show itself declined from good to mediocre to awful all the way to where we are now at outright unwatchable, she gradually took an inverse curve to being the only good character left. And then she died. As this show desperately needs to and should have a long time ago.

a complex picture compressed to jpg with 90-95% quality will look just as good as a png of the same picture. however, the jpg will also be MASSIVELY smaller.
on the other hand, for a simple image (text, minimal colors, simple edges, etc.), pngs will compress more efficiently than jpgs.
