Beat the first 2 missions, go to the main menu, and it's just a dozen different menus which lead into a dozen more menus, 5 different currencies, and multiple flashing "buy this! Limited time offer! The basic attack all speed reduction is 10%. He attacks much more fluidly than he does in skill preview, about the same as regular M.O.D.O.K., and the cooldown on his web swing is 2 seconds lower than his normal charge attack.

Not that guy, but I have her 5* and bought it, the uni changes no skills, and the passive is purely for chaining trash mobs. The only real benefit is the 10% boost. It's essentially black spidey uni 2.0 but even a little worse. Still though, for the boost alone it's worth it.

OK, so new player anon. I've got 2 free 3-star heroes, then that lvl 30 3-star hero that y'all said I'll get for wiping.
For the first 3-star hero I picked Elsa (because waifu), and was thinking of going with Giant-man for the second 3-star hero. Who should I picked for my lvl 30? Alternatively, should I go with someone besides Giant-man for my second 3-star hero? Not sure what the "tiers" are like for this game or if there's a particular team synergy I should be trying for other than either having all universals or 1 of each type.
Of the 1-star heroes I've gotten so far, I have:

Of them, Spider-Man and Green Goblin are great Speed characters, Vision's a great Blast character, Venom's a great Combat character, and Ultron is a great Universal character. None of them will be -particularly- hard to farm, though some are later in the story missions than others.

If you've already picked, that's fine, but some words words words for consideration:
You can get biometrics from:
Any story mission has 3 guaranteed biometrics a day (though you may need to run a mission more than 3 times to get them all) for the reward- that is, if you'd get Captain America biometrics for winning the mission, then you can get 3 Captain America biometrics from that mission per day.
Story missions also have a chance to have a shifter enter when you play, either as an ally or enemy (I believe enemy shifters only start appearing in chapter 4?) It's random when you get them and who you get (other than enemy shifters not being able to be the same as the main boss of the level, e.g. Green Goblin on a Green Goblin boss), but you can have up to 10 ally and 10 enemy shifters a day, and they guarantee a drop of 1 of their bios when you finish the level.
Special missions are similar to story, but work a bit differently: you can normally do up to 10 Special missions a day, chosen from any of them that are open to you, though you're not guaranteed biometrics, even when you get shifters. However, as you complete a particular special stage, you fill up a meter for that stage that, at 100%, can be activated to give you unlimited runs (energy permitting) of that stage for 30 minutes, so you can farm much longer than a story mission.
Dimensional Rifts - appear at random after clearing a stage (it'll tell you when you'll unlock one) and last for 30 minutes, and feature a particular character.
Chaos Tokens - earned from Villain Siege, can be redeemed for biometrics.
Honor Tokens - earned from Timeline Arena battles, can be redeemed for biometrics.
And random prizes from Villain Siege, SHIELD Lab missions, or through the SHIELD Lab exchange.
Gamora is actually the hardest character to get biometrics for in the entire game right now, since your only real option is Honor Token chests which are random and you can't farm as many as Chaos Tokens daily.

So Black Cat and Blade... they both got some changes to their stat buff moves. Blades stat buff now does damage and Black Cats does a sizable leap backwards.
Worthy of note however is that unlike with current uniforms where the recharge rate and buff duration are shortened quite a lot, Blade and Black Cats remain the same.
Understandable for Blade since his would be insane if it got the quick recharge and short duration treatment others got, but Black Cats is still just kind of bad because of this.

after you have a lvl50 just farm the first 3 AoS missions until lvl 52 and then the next 3 every 2 levels and so on. after you can finish a lvl56 stage without a single character dieing you have hit your forever exp spot. That chain kill thing really isn't great. If you're farming, you're probably one-shotting so that renders the attack boost moot. If you're PvPing or Villain Sieging, when the hell would that boost activate?
So I'm really liking Blade/Elsa/Angela and plan on maining them. Got Blade the costume, and he seems pretty easy to farm, but I ran the numbers and will only be able to get to 4* for Elsa by the end of the event and am pretty much stuck at 3* for Angela since there doesn't appear to be a single place to get Angela bios.
So am I just screwed on the Elsa/Angela bios front without spending crystals on bios packs?

The daily selectors can give you 8 bios but it's not consistent as you won't always get universal heroes.
Unfortunately Angela is just hard to farm, close to impossible without spending money.

To elaborate, the free daily selectors are locked at 1 star heroes (even though the box itself says 1*-4*). This is because Battleworld events are split into 1*-3* and 4*-6* entry. When you get an X* hero that you already own, but is a greater star value than yours, it automatically upgrades that hero to that value. Getting free 4* heroes could bump characters deliberately kept at 3* for Battleworld out of that bracket.
Unfortunately, the only 1* universal heroes are Ghost Rider and Singularity, and Singularity is mostly locked behind Battleworld along with She-Hulk and Sister Grimm, so actually the only possible universal selector roll you can get with the free box is Ghost Rider. Given the 1* hero pool (minus the A-Force):

Percentage by level stats are based on your character's level.
For instance an "energy attack by LV 50%" will give a level 40 character 20 energy attack.
It's good to have % stat as the first option on your gear because you would get less attack if you rolled a normal, non-% stat.
However, if your level is 60 a percentage stat is going to give you 30 attack, which makes it better than the non-% counterpart for the second option.

Depends. Do you want characters that are hard to get by playing the game, thus using the 3* selector on them would save you a shitton of grind, but then also result in having a character that will be harder to grind higher than 3*, or do you want great early game characters that are good enough to get you through the whole game and are easier to grind up to 6*?
If you want the latter, go for Spider-man for a speed character and/or Venom for a brawler. If you want the former, Angela and Gamora are the hardest characters to get without using a selector.

Biometrics are always on sale ... they've brought back a few costumes once so I wouldn't be surprised if some come up for Christmas. Save some crystals but if you have Stark Stash + do daily achievements that's 100 a day guaranteed every day until Christmas so you'll have a lot

I still don't get this, how do i determine wether to use crit rate crit damage or penetration?
For example, Yellow jacket has penetration on his gear, so doo i just stack more penetration or do i stack crit damage to make his stings more lethal?
On Punisher, he has critical hit rating on his gear, so do i go for more rating, damage or penetration?

The gear has natural defense penetration?, boost it, it has both defense penetration and crit. rate?, if you want dodge in your special gear, go with defense penetration, if you will use crit-gear then add more crit. into it.
for punisher you should be using a whole crit build because of his costume skill, can't custom him really
