Hey guys, I have an issue

I am
>super into anime and manga
>kind of submissive sexually
>generally a nervous, sensitive, touchy-feely guy

But I'm also
>6'0
>fit
>chaddy in mannerisms because I went to a lad/10 uni and learned it to blend in

So basically what I'm worried about is that I'm not attracting the types of people I want to be friends/romantic partners with, because of the way I look, dress, and act. Do I need to do some sort "personality adjustment?" Be more open about my interests? Idk what to do, I'm too weird for normies but I think my fellow weirdos are blowing me off because I look like a bro.

your fellow weirdos haven't seen you geek out enough to believe you're not a dudebro yet.

If you want a mate with similar interests, you just need more patience and exposure.

Don't have any advice OP but I just wanted to say I'm in a very similar situation

I've even been thinking about making a thread about it recently

If you want to find people with similar interests, and you want them to KNOW you have similar interests then yes that would be the logical choice.

I am in the same scenario, opposite sex.

Because of my appearance, I'm expected to like certain things. When I try to connect with others in my hobby I am ostracized with the preconception I'm a "poser," whatever that means. I just like what I like, can't help it.

It has always been like that for many people. My father is a 6'3" redneck hunter, who also happens to put up a "Star Trek tree" every Christmas. It has numerous collector's ornaments from the 80s and 90s of original Star Trek and NG. He fences, learned from some Polish dude and flipped his shit when I showed him the mo-cap fencing done for Witcher 3.

The fact he managed to find a woman as stunning as my mother and loved her til she died inspires me to
>be myself
And that it will all work out.
