I met a guy at a party on campus last semester. We hooked up a few times and hung out and stuff, but since then he's gotten kind of weird. At times he was clingy, saying how much he cares about me, compliments me, buys me things, etc. but other times he was total jerk to me and said really insensitive things. It seems like he only does this to me because everyone else who we're mutual friends or classmates with thinks he's a cool guy. I've never heard anyone talk bad about him.
After break we got in a huge argument and I told him that we should stop hooking up and sleeping together but we can be friends. He got mad but stopped calling and texting me. I forgot that we have class in the same building this semester so now I see him all the time. We can still have a conversation and even laugh together but he's still talking to me and flirting like nothing ever happened. Last week offered to buy me dinner after class but I turned him down.
I've seen him flirting with other girls but he's still so persistent with me and calls me "his favorite" Why is he acting like this?
It's what happens when you disregard your emotions in exchange for sex. He obviously has mixed feelings about you. You should expect this if you're going to be fucking around.
