The main appeal of the movie is the large family dynamics. The cyberspace stuff was kinda tacky.
After watching, I bought a Hanafuda deck to play with my gf. That climactic scene at the end is the equivalent of the typical poker scene ending in a royal flush; those big hands never happen in real life.
(Trivia: did you know that Nintendo got their start before the computer era making Hanafuda decks? They still sell a Mario themed deck.)
Loved it. Obviously it wasn't that big masterpiece that /a/ always wants from shows/movies, but it was fun.
