Don't diss on drawing 3D because that's how you work on your fundamentals - use Loomis as a good reference start, not any "how to draw manga" books because those are garbage.

My personal opinion on that is that after a certain line gore just becomes disgusting and degrading. Bandaged characters have some appeal because they appear weaker.
