Everyone bitches about /x/ being shit, so what do you consider the best of the best?
What is you favorite x related topic/creepypasta/theory?
Share related pic, links, description, why you like it, etc.
It doesn't have to be entirely supernatural. Anything spooky, mystical, conspiracy theory related, science fiction etc.
I like the idea of dimensions. What would a 5th dimensional creature appear to be to us? A 6th? So on? Are there unfathomable creatures navigating through inter dimensional space time as we speak? Are these just what we consider...

>Everyone bitches about /x/ being shit
I collect, vet, and upload over five thousand occult texts, and tend to think the board's fine, other than maybe having a few more folks willing to report blatantly off topic bullshit and/or spam (sometimes I feel like the only one doing it, and when I ask people complaining about this or that thread if they've reported it, I often hear the garbage excuse of "not my job" and "it doesn't work", both of which are not the case).

Your post is a prime example of why /x/ is shit tbpfhwy

Remember when Reviewbrah replied to us and played his number station recordings and stuff? He said he spent some nights in the haunted hotel that inspired The Shining (but didn't experience anything). But yeah that was cool. The recordings were cool too.

Also - we had a real paranormal research team of ghost hunters come by last year and do live updates during an investigation. They were actually on Ghost Adventures in one episode I believe.
Hey /x/, last night at around 10:00pm I received this weird text from some blocked number. All it sent me was pic related... could just be a wrong number text, but I thought this creepy image might humor you guys.
i dont see anything creepy is that the image or is there another and what was the text
>>17842043
It's not really creepy in the obvious sense, but I guess it's just kina weird. Can't really make out the shapes. What's the text? I can't see any.

It's not really creepy in the obvious sense, just really weird... Can't make out the shapes. But text? Where? I can't see any.
does anyone into the occult or alternative psychology know of any methods to partially or completely reconfigure the brain? im talking a complete personality overhaul that allows you to remake your mental sets from the ground up.
>>17842014
99% impossible. It is possible to rewire certain aspects and traits of yourself but most of it is too ingrained, most of it after age 12. I've tried extremely hard, using every holistic, occult, or alternative method out there and I always fell back into the old ways, to an extent. It's also extremely traumatic and the body cannot handle that much trauma without severe brain damage. I am convinced I shorted out synapses with what I was doing to rewire myself. Never doing it again. It's taken years...

Pavlovian conditioning maybe? Treat yourself everytime you do something desirable

ego death through meditation would be the safest route.
ego death through drugs such as LSD would be the faster way, but you might fuck up your bran a little bit. Also it's hard to get good LSD now a days, It's often lazed with meth to get people hooked and make money. I recommend the first, former, safer route.
for those of you who wish to appease the Hindu gods and the Buddhists, there is also a bad place you go when you die that is called the narakas.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naraka_(Hinduism)
"Tamisra (darkness): It is intended for a person who grabs another's wealth, wife or children. In this dark realm, he is bound with ropes and starved without food or water."
"Andhakupa (well with its mouth hidden): It is the hell where a person who harms others with the intention of malice and harms insects is confined. He is attacked by birds,...

There are also narakas for Buddhism.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naraka_(Buddhism)
The best you can hope for in these narakas if you do not obey the 5 precepts, is the blistering naraka.
" the "blister" Naraka, is a dark, frozen plain surrounded by icy mountains and continually swept by blizzards. Inhabitants of this world arise fully grown and abide lifelong naked and alone, while the cold raises blisters upon their bodies."
It is important to limit yourself by the 5 precepts.

Now onto the Hermetic hells.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_underworld
This is a description of the higher hells which now include limbo, where the Greek and Hindu and Buddhist philosophers discuss philosophy and observe the lower hells and as wise rulers of old they may also help some souls out in the upper hells of the modern west, which Jahova allowed the Greek philosophers, who welcome the Buddhist and Hindu philosophers, to maintain control over the upper hells for Christendom.

You can do that without the deprivation chamber. Pic related.
What's the best piece of vampire fiction?
Not necessarily the best kind of vampire but the best execution of it in a narrative.
My money's on pic related. Let the Right One In presented vampirism in a nuanced and concise way that directly served the story. No expository moments of "our kind have walked in the shadows for 10,000 bla bla bla"
>>17841370
Vampire the Masquerade. Just read the sourcebooks. Avoid actually playing it. Might play Bloodlines. It's the most fleshed-out and least fluffy vamp franchise I've ever seen.

Let the right one is is fairly accurate, In my humble opinion.

There's something on my roof /x/. I'm not normally one to get freaked out. I can debunk things after listening to them a few times. But there's something on my roof right now. It keeps walking and scratching and stopping. Then I can hear the heavy sound of it scooting along. Jesus Christ I'm about to cry. Fucking help. I've never suffered from mental illness other than depression. Whatever this is is making feel complete dread. I'm paralyzed in bed. I have those hairs standing on the back of my head all over. Jesus Christ I might record it and put...

Go outside and try recording it.
If you're too scared to do that, record the sounds from inside the house so it'll prove you're not a loony.
Either way, post results

Hey /x/ I need some suggestions/advice on something i saw the other night because it baffles me. I live in northern Maryland and i was letting my dogs out for the night. As soon as i turned on my floodlight at a very dim part of the edge of the woods I see this thing at least 7 feet tall maybe a little more with a shoulder span twice any normal human. Both my dogs run down to the fence and get defensive toward it. As i sprint down to grab them it makes this horrid noise, it's like a mix of a bear growl and a head on vehicle collision but the volume is times 3 of that. When...

The light wasn't good enough for me to see too much detail but its head was behind a little bit of leaves so i didn't really see it
>spoopy cryptids in Muurland
Kill it, OP. Plz don't let it reach the eastern shore. We have our hands full with ghosts and the Atlantic ocean. It might buy an EZ Pass and cross the bay bridge with ease.
Hey /x/, I wanted to see what some of 4chan's sages thought of E.A. Koetting.
Background:
E.A. Koetting is a man that attempts to teach people on how to "Become A Living God" Essentially this means that he shows people how to Evoke (bring within) spirits, demons, and multi-dimensional beings.
E.A. experimented with the occult from a young age, and then after making a pact with several demons, evoked the being known as Lucifer. Lucifer began to show Koetting how to master diabolatry. One day, Lucifer told Koetting that he needed to get rid...

Lucifer told him that he needed to go to this building and read tarot there. Koetting thought that this was a foolish idea because reading tarot on the street seemed like a weird idea, but after waiting for about 4 hours, reading tarot, Koetting was approached by a security guard.
The guard said "come with me, sir". Koetting was hesitant at first because he thought that this man was going to take him somewhere and beat him up for being odd. However, the man lead Koetting inside of a building and brought him down a flight of stairs to a locked security door....

>House of Leaves
The only redeeming factor is the weird layout. The actual story, the in-universe story, and so on are kinda shit.
MILD SPOILER
Yeah I picked up house of leaves and stopped around the part where the professor returns to the house and the door is gone...
I just lost interest. It was good for awhile there but it was never scary or creepy. Does it get any better?

Hey /x/nons! Just discovered the aquatic ape theory.it has definitely caught my attention ..clueless, what I know..theories some time during our evolution from jellyfish like creatures to hairless apes we went aquatic for a period of evolution due to change in climate and adapting ?

It's one of those things that's a solid hypothesis, but not supported by any real evidence.
