im looking for something in particular.
from memory, it's suppose to be a book with a bunch of flora that is not found on our planet, written in a language nobody can decipher.
last time i saw it, it wasn't proven to be a hoax and people were baffled. i'm interested in following up on it to see if theres been any progress on its origins or whether or not some guy wrote it while he was off his meds.

I think I have a pretty good understanding of life, conscious and understanding.
I fully believe in the concept of "oneness" and understand all of its implications.
I even believe that I had personal proof granted to me.
That being said though I'm finding it hard to achieve a higher state of being.

I been in the same place as you before, but being a bookworm of spirituality doesn't always offer spirituality in itself. I personally found my way through the work of Robert Anton wilson. He explains things well and offer actual tools on how to make a change in your life. Then, I only chose this point of view because it fits me well.

One thing that has worked for me is to try to reduce your mental flow of thought. When something happens, don't analyse it, judge it or anything. Just experience it. Being contemplative is chill af and can even lead to extasy.

Spiritually speaking, this has been the craziest year for me. Practically speaking, little has changed aside from my perception.
I've been looking at some of the worst unsolved crimes in history today and one of them, the case of The Black Dahlia, freaks me out in particular. It's mainly the pictures of the girl, dead and alive, and comparing them that give me the willies.
What are some other gruesome deaths similar to hers? Doesn't have to be unsolved murders.

There was the '3 guys 1 hammer' thing which was pretty horrific, especially since the video was out for everyone to see the victim was so sympathetic.
Famous Japanese crime cases tend to be awful too.
There was also a serial killer that would take prostitutes out to his property (in Alaska?) and hunt them down like they were animals.
The world is full of horrible shit, unfortunately.
