How often do you have nightmares?
my life is a nightmare

I'm using it as inspiration for a D&D campaign
In the mornings I can recall my dreams, not all are nightmares, but a good amount turn out to be, usually they're nice.

You should avoid acting out on negative feelings. In this world, it's easy to hate and get angry. Conquer those and you'll be well on your way.
You allready have it. You just believe you don't.

You're not the original theONE. You're not as entertaining.
Hello /x/. Jack here for a impromptu game. Why tonight? Compulsion that's why.
Tonight we will play a game. The trick consists of a candle, a mirror, and a knife.
The ideal point of the game is to take a trip down your rabbit hole and find something interesting, disturbing, sanguine or otherwise noteworthy whilst enjoying some mildy troubling hallucinations.
Sound like fun, well listen to the rest of the story, then decide if it's for you....

This is just hypnosis. Nothing will come from nothing. Our trick will require some materials, some preparation, and for you to read the entirety of several paragraphs. Hard I know, but I believe in you.
You will need:
• a dark quiet room with no locked doors
• a candle
• a reflective surface large enough to hold your face, like a disposable glass mirror or still body of water
• Some time you won’t miss
• a knife, hammer, or rock
It is also recommended that you subject...

The process is as follows:
Sit in your dark room with no locks and no interruptions. Place the mirror so it shows your face; eye level is ideal. Then, place the flame so it illuminates the entirety of your face. Keep the knife within reach. If you are doing this with a friend, don’t look them in the face until the candle is out.
You must look at the mirror at all times. Never allow your eyes to wander to the darkness of the room. The method must induce a mild trance for this to be anything more than nonsense. If you don’t feel you’re reaching a focused...

The first question is always the same: “When did you feel the least amount of control in your life?”
Upon achieving an answer, a moment of self inspection is in order. Fill your mind with the reason you answered such a way. Between the two of us there should be no mystery’s left.
About half way through our questions, I will start spouting out things about your life. Sometime’s I have astounding accuracy. Other’s, I am a floundering fool.
If you manage to bare through all of what I tell you, and we don’t run out of time, many experience a...

When I was seventeen, I joined the cult of the laughing God. Of course, I did not know it at the time. Still, esoteric secrets whispered beneath conversations at school and in the books I read and music I listened to. I began to believe in something strange and terrible. And I laughed at the greatest joke of all time. It was simple, really. Beneath the multifarious masks of illusion, was an eternal prankster. Love, fear, sex, and death were but a game. Fruits of knowledge were made to be eaten and the fruit of life was already consumed. Cunning were they then and cunning are...

Who came for you? What have you learned? tell me more anon

It is not for me to say what I know for it defies explanation. If I were to describe what happened then all our frames of reference would be of no use. And then there is the fact that none of experiences confirm anything. For what evidence do I have as a fallible superstitious human? Millions claim to meet angels and demons and djinn and aliens and jesus christ and mohammad and the buddha. But humans must be fallible in such matters. Because of the way it would threaten our most fundamental understandings of reality...

Has this story progressed in any way? Any Scientific breakthroughs regarding reality being "informational"?
I was playing around with a few ideas when something obvious dawned on me..
Human cells are literally biological software. The Genetic Code is exactly that, a "code script", as Schrodinger put it. A binary list of instructions telling the cell how to behave. Cells also need to be "booted" exactly like software. Change the script, change the cell.
Are we just a collection of softwares? A human OS?
SIMULTATION

>Are we just a collection of softwares? A human OS?
Maybe.
I much rather prefer the theory that we are in a programmed reality, rather than being programmed ourselves.
I mean think about it. If we're on a code script, why are we allowed to think about said code script?
Copy pasted from an anon in other thread
I believe it has to do with the conservation of information principle. A paradox arose when Stephen Hawking attempted to explain blackholes, which, according to his theories, must, by necessity, capture all that falls past their event horizons, whether it be matter, energy or information, which are never supposed to be recoverable. The problem here is that information, by laws of logic itself, must always be recoverable in some way or form, no matter how one rearranges it. Theoretical physicist Kip Thorne found one could, in principle,...

After a fair time of consideration, given the chance that all the math behind this are correct. Wich I can't tell, cause my reality bending math is rusty.
If it's correct someone designed reality for us, we just live in it.
Nothing new for the believers, higher will and all that.
The implications of this are another story, if our reality is just mathematics, AI development takes a sudden twist,
We expected artifical intelligence to be intelligent, but the problem is that at this...

Does /x/ have any sort of defensive or offensive weapons that they use against the paranormal?
I personally carry a Shield that was blessed by a bishop from Mexico and I wipe my bullets with holy water and engrave crosses on them.
Am I doing it right?

Versus cryptids and physical things like zombies hunting firearms are great (normal weapons are pretty good too, just don't use a .22lr firearm or a spoon as melee weapon). For ghost, just don't have fear and you will be okay.
>>17627848
non-physical entities are beings of mind rather than matter. Don't you find it weird that there are stories from all faiths that their specific religions' prayers warded off a spirit? Yet most of those faiths are mutually exclusive to each other.
It's not the weapon, or the holy water and blessings, or the prayers from the book of your choosing that does anything. It's your belief that they work that makes them work.
If you believe a regular weapon would work on an entity the same...
