The player is in a game world where darkness is its friend and its enemy at the same time. In the level there is an entity that has some unknown shape right now.
The premise of that monster is that it can only be seen when there is no light in the scene.
Its shape can then be very vaguely be distinguished from the surrounding darkness becasue it itself...

I never listened to Michael Jackson.
It was just an average evening shitposting on yahoo answers, when a question related to Michael Jackson made me want to go and finally check his songs out on youtube. I wanted to see what the big hype about him was.
I remember this particularly, because it was unlike any other youtube train I have done, because of what happened later.

I had a dream a few months back in which I saw a new Michael Jackson video, the guy is probably still making music in the astral plane.
The song was about whoever runs this world manipulating it and building industry and skyscrapers and how they are dooming us all since they are leading us into an unhappy ego-driven lifestyle. The song was chastising them about how irresponsible and egotistical they are and also it was a very catchy song, very much in tune with what he would write when he was alive.

I've enjoyed Slenderman over the past decade or so, and to a lesser degree stories and pastas about skinwalkers, tulpas, the rake, etc.
The time has come to retire the character, though. Let's be honest, only millennials find Slenderman creepy anymore in between playing minecraft and Freddy's. I'm asking /x/ to band together in an attempt to create the most horrifying character they can. One that truly disturbs and unsettles.

A very good thing we could create would be a sort of distorted mirror/window reflection of ourselves. The one we KNOW it's us, but always gives us the creeps when looking at windows or mirrors when there's very little light and can't see very well, which gives us the feeling that there's something else there.

-getting a bad wound but you got treatment fast enough
-dangling off the edge of a cliff due to slipping (and stuff similar to that)
-getting in a car crash, that the doctors were surprised you lived from
-surviving some horrible disease
-accidental med overdoes (or on purpose, god I hope not)

i came close to death from two suicide attempts but i blacked out during the one that was closest to death (i got put in the icu for over a week for that one). other one i hallucinated terrifying shit nonstop and had a seizure. convinced i would have gone to some bad place if i had died that time with the people coming out of the computer screens leering at me, can't really say what the other one felt like but i came extremely close to death and it's honestly a miracle and a testament to medicine that i didn't die. the one where i blacked out was scarier because...

the one where i overdosed on wellbutrin (took pretty much an entire bottle plus my grandma's bottle) was the one where i hallucinated nonstop and had a seizure. the hallucinations looked kind of like google deep dream but more shadowy and wispy and less colourful and full of dogs. it was like the darkness was enveloping everything around me and i could see the strings holding everything together, and it felt kind of like being drowned from inside your brain if that makes sense. multiple distorted bodies and faces were coming out of every computer screen and i was seeing...
