I believe we are judged and punished or rewarded accordingly, until our karma burns out. Then we either reincarnate or exit the wheel of reincarnation altogether, depending on our spiritual development.
When you die you go back to where you came from. The time you spent alive is nothing compared to the time you will spend being dead, so it makes more sense to think of the afterlife less as a place of judgment and more as the default place that you exist in. It is your home more than this world is.

So it's literally the same thing but if it's beneficial you consider it higher consciousness and if it's a hindrance or even just neutral you consider it insanity? Aren't certain characteristics beneficial in certain circumstances, while useless or possibly even harmful in others? How do you objectively discriminate between higher consciousness and insanity without allowing outside factors to affect your judgement?
This happened a year and a half ago but I recently started thinking about it again.
I was looking through my phone to find old pictues and videos. I found a video that I didn't remember recording so I clicked into it. It was a video of someone (saying someone because I honestly do not remember taking it) walking around my house recording.
It started from my bedroom, it walked to the kitchen and then back to my bedroom. After that it was about to walk out the front door but the video stopped at that point.
