I'm looking for a programm that allows me to view gif files and has the following features:
adjust play speed, stop/play on button push, playing gifs in a loop, zoom and allow multiple instances (open more than one picture at a time)
Currently I'm using IrfanView, but either it's lacking the play speed feature or I'm unable to find it.
I'm not suggesting a player because I don't know any but what about this http://ezgif.com/speed. I think you can upload a GIF to slow down so it's standard play speed is slower.

Thanks, I knew about that one. Sadly not exactly what I'm looking for, I need something a little more convenient.
i am not aware of a stand-alone player that has all these features
but as far as editing programs go - GIMP can do all of that (and it's free and open source).
the animation playback tool (picture related) can stop/play/step, plays in loops, can adjust playback speed (at the bottom from 0.125 to 8 times), allows multiple instances (though each in their own animation window and you have to open the gif in GIMP first)
zoom is built into the work area, but not the playback, so you'd have to resize the image first if you wanted zoom during playback.

Still not what I was looking for. The main thing that I'd need is the play speed feature. I once had a programm with it, but I can't for the hell of it remember the name.
