Waifu games, what are the best waifu games?

We know western games are shit at them, and ATLUS pumps out the best waifus, but what's your favorite? Also I don't mean games with just cute girls, I need ones with a romance mechanic.

Ar Tonelico I and II had pretty good romance mechanics. It's practically half the game, since you need to do it to power up the girls. /jp/ has a general for gust games, including Ar Tonelico:
