What are good table games for exactly 6 people? Most games I've seen either become too convoluted or with lots of downtime having 6 players.
Mario party series is hit or miss. Other than that I guess online mmorpgs.

Two instances of Ascension. Or any other combination of the fine three-player games available.
Bogging down is an intrinsic aspect of six player games, just because if it's one person's turn, it's five people's non-turn.
It's not really the same thing, but party/team games like Articulate, Cards against Humanity, Cranium, Jungle Jam, work well because they either have multiple people to each "player", or they have turns where everyone participates at the same time.
Zombies! kinda works, especially with all the expansions. I imagine coop games like Heroquest and its knockoffs would work too.
As in tabletop games?
Well, if you don't like too much complexity or slowdown, you can try party games like Cards Against Humanity or Bang!, since everyone plays every turn.
Other than that, you can also play something where making shit up is part of the fun, like Paranoia.
What you're looking for is probably party games rather than tabletop games. Stuff like Bananagrams, Apples to Apples, Pictionary, Charades, Scategories, Trivial Pursuit etc.
Actual board games and stuff can't really fit more than 4 unless it's stuff like Risk, which is often not fun for a lot of people.
