Anyone know good tagging solutions in linux operating system?
Mainly for manga.

You know I've tried this but it seems to bog down when I put 1000+ entries into it. Slow down, unresponsive, that sort of thing.

Let it process them.
1k+ zips is a lot.

I'm talking about after it processes them. Do you not have this same problem?

I don't use it. I don't need tags, I just have a folder per author, and I know what kind of stuff each author draws.
But as far as I know, that's your only proper solution for tagging. Though maybe I'm wrong, let's see if someone else steps up.

Chances are it's using a dumb algorithm somewhere, because searching and filtering is nlogn, and 1000 is a very small value of n. The only reason it would fail to scale like this is if it's using an n^2 algorithm somewhere it shouldn't be.
Exercise your four freedoms and fix it!

I just put 2500 galleries in there and it seems much better than when I used it months ago. Maybe this solution is acceptable to me. I'm going to migrate the rest of my bullshit in and see what happens.

Okay, 8k galleries and it's lagging slightly, but that's only the main index view. I reckon if I have a single tag in the search everything will be okay. Probably the most painful part of this process is getting the metadata for this bullshit.
Thanks anons, I'll let this thread die now.
