I'm looking for an inexpensive and quality laptop to install Linux Mint XFCE on. I mostly will use it for internet and some gaming (ie: Binding of Isaac, Civilization V, maybe Dark Souls III if it isn't too expensive).

how could you get this all wrong.
If you want to play game, get a pc. Check on builds on pcpartpicker, otherwise you would pay much more for the same effect on a laptop. Also, use windows 7 for gaming, which will save you a lot of trouble.
Otherwise, if you just want to buy a cheap laptop for linux and surfing internet, used ones would be a good choice, such as chinknovo or dell. New mid range wouldn't cost a lot too, but those are not for high quality gaming.

There's quite a bit in the way of gaming on Linux now. Been using it mainly for 2 years, come a long way.

Just because something is inexpensive doesn't mean it's low quality. I got the Nexus 7 when it came out, and I still have it.
Get the Lenovo Z50 from bestbuy website, it's under $400 right now. Has an APU so you can play new games at least on low 720p settings.
Are ThinkPads any good for this?
