What is the best method to get audio from youtube and soundcloud?

What is the best method to get audio from youtube and soundcloud?

I remember using websites back in like 2008 to do it but they all came out as low bit rate shit. Has that scene progressed at all?

Use HTML5 youtube, right click on video > save, extract audio with ffmpeg.

2. Use Comodo Media Downloader (built in extension) to download mp4 of video.

3. Use free mp4 to mp3 convertor to rip the cound from le video.
