I'm looking for information about Slot Machine variables. Like percentage values of payouts, charts detailing rarities or any information about creating a similar system.
I used to work with slot machines and know a little about them
Basically you have three variables they operate on
1 set payout value
This is a set value based on a percentage and in theory the machine will payout to this value so if it's set to 90% the machine will payout 90% of whatever goes into it. (See notes 2 and 3)
FYI every casino is different the one I worked for set their machines to payout between 90% to 98%
2 actual payout value
This value calculates how much the machine has actually paid out so many instances someone got a big win and the machines actual payout value maybe 120% so the machine will now pay much less to bring the actual payout value in line with 1 the set payout value
3 cash inputted
Lastly this value calculates how much money has been entered into the machine and works with values 1 and 2
