Bite the bullet and use Clover, you can find the most recent version over on F-Droid. Dashchan gave me way too many problems and I eventually trashed it and switched over to Clover.

I constantly had the captcha shitting itself on dashchan, Clover rarely has problems with captcha.

Maybe Clover isn't perfect but it's still an upgrade from dashchan.
