Have a problem with my xfx r9 380 graphics card not installing correctly on windows 7 64 bit. It is connected to a ASUS M5A78L motherboard.
Installation fails to complete and returns the message "Driver Install: the INF file was not found"

INF sounds like problems with the motherboard's chipset drivers. Go to the MB manufacturer's downloads for it, click the chipset (INF).

If it's even remotely to do with the driver, get the latest version. End of.

I have a 390 but I never ran into this type of problem. You could try following these steps.
1. Use the present Administrator account.
2. Turn off all antivirus, UAC, Firewall.
3. Update your Windows and Netframework, when completed -> Turn off Windows Update.
4. Reboot into Safe mode and use DDU to completely uninstall any previous drivers.
5. DDU will auto reboot into 'Normal mode', wait until Device manager installs the Standard VGA graphics adapter. Now, install the latest driver.
6. Reboot
