trying to find this old australian tv show
it was about this boy who left home and joined a steam boat on the murray river. when i tried googling it all i found was all the rivers run which has a female lead and i'm certain isnt it

also another old series which aired on australian tv though i'm not sure if it was made here. it was about this boy in the countryside who wants to become a clown and finds this great clown guru to teach him about clowning
