Come on, people. I'm always telling you: get the resynthesize and heal selection gimp filters, select what you want going over the borders, if you're not going over the borders enough (ie if you're using the magic wand) grow the selection a few pixels, and then run the heal selection filter. A few clicks in like 1 or 2 minutes of work. Come on.
