How come I'm stuck at 25mb/s when putting stuff on my hdd even though I'm using usb 3?
What am I doing wrong?

To do USB3, you need:
USB3 host port
USB3 driver
USB3 cable
USB3 device port
If any of your wires or sockets don't look like the ones in this picture, it'll fall back to USB2.
Additionally, Windows 7 doesn't support USB3; you need third-party drivers to get it to even kinda-work.

Nigga wat. I have USB3 on my mobo and it works just fine under Win7. Support probably doesn't come stock though.

That's what I mean by "kinda work".
The number of threads in this board alone that start with "I'm running Windows 7 and my USB isn't working" and end with "My third-part USB3 driver is broken in some way" is absolutely unbelievable.
