Just stupid question, am I safe to torrent all the illegal music I want?
illegal music?.....dear god....
Please don't tell me you downloaded more than 1 mp3..
Big-name record labels (and movie companies, etc) will sometimes connect to a torrent and report the IPs that are downloading shit to the IP's ISP. Then the user will get a DCMA takedown notice (Digital Millennium Copyright Act). ISPs who actually go through with this will usually give several warnings before taking any actions. I rarely hear of people getting notices though. Only the biggest tight-assed labels will go through the effort. It sometimes happens with big name movies that just got released. Anything old people don't care about.
Some ISPs throttle torrent traffic in general so if you download make sure that encryption is enable (check the settings, it'll be there somewhere)

I changed at the start of the month, so I just refer to total uploaded to know how much I've used this month.
Having to restart from 0 sucks so hard

you sound pretty based, anon.
RIAA has stopped going after people if you live in the US, as far as I know.
The MPAA will still fuck you up
