What is the problem with my harddrive? I have a 111gb SSD and it has been almost filled (about 15 - 30gb left) for several years. Yesterday I got a message that my C: drive was full even though I have not been installing anything on it. I use my other harddrives for that. I know I got more than 9gb to use because I've been cleaning it up alot. Been googling as well and tried a few solutions but they didn't seem to help with my problem. Is there something I can do to fix this?

The problem is that it's way too small.
Run WinDirStat elevated (right-click, "Run as Administrator") and you'll see what's taking up space.
Ideally, get a big-ass hard disk and use your tiny SSD as a cache. Readyboost is okay, but Readycache and EBoostr are better.

It's probably Windows System Protection, you can disable it in CP

Thanks, just noticed that I had a temp folder with over 10gb stored on it.
Problem it I doubt it will do anything after I deleted it.
My C: drive is filling up what looks like 500mb each 5 minutes. This has never happened before so I don't know how to stop it. Might try to reinstall windows if it keeps going like this.
It's a good idea to always be ready to reinstall any OS you run.
When I backup, nuke and pave I also delete all partitions so I start completely fresh.

Only quitters and idiots reinstall. Something wrong? Fix. It.
I've still got a Windows 95 install that's now running Windows 10.
That's 85 versions older!
