How do I take a screenshot in MPC with subtitles?
Do a printscreen or download Gyazo.

That didn't answer my question. I want to do it in MPC not gyazo or a printscreen.
Does it not automatically render them in the snapshot if the subtitles are on? That's how it works with KCP, at least. Perhaps vanilla MPC doesn't do that.

As far as I know you can't, I use MPV when I want to get subtitles.

I don't use kcp, I followed this guide. http://haruhichan.com/wpblog/205/hi10p-info-guide/
I thought it was basically kcp? I'm on mobile atm so if you need screenshots of my settings I will post them later.

On that page it says that method is no longer being updated and that KCP is what should be used instead. That might solve your issue.
Alt+I? That's what I always use.

Forgot to post the screenshot I just took as example.

Are you using anything else like madvr or something to improve subs? That alt-I doesn't work for me.
on potplayer you can select if it will appear with subtitles or not i dont remember if mpc has this option but i think it does

Do you have CCCP installed or not? Untick "Use the built in subtitle renderer" and it should work in the way you are describing.

I don't have CCCP installed and when I unticked the box and restarted MPC-HC it just stopped showing subtitles altogether. I assume that means I have to download CCCP.

Try alt+i in both windowed and fullscreen mode. That's what usually makes the difference for me, windowed mode, although it could just be due to the particular sub filter I have active.
