I always thought Haganai was a stupid abbreviation, even if it is an official one. It's all fucking sentence particles and doesn't say anything even if you know Japanese. And the parts of the abbreviation are just randomly chosen. A bunch of Japanese abbreviations are dumb like this, at least when people abbreviate stuff in English it's an acronym, which is actually logical. The only thing that makes any sense is they're trying to find the abbreviation that has the most appealing and catchy "sound" to it, which is still pretty dumb.
