Does /a/ have a polled "best anime of all time" lists?
/a/ as a whole only shares about 15 or 20 anime in high regards in the board, I mean, It would be quite impossible to make a top 100 from /a/.
We could make an estimate of the series that deserve to be in the top 100 though.

top 20 is pretty based, even if it lacks super metroid.
There are several that look similar to this, I don't think there is a "100 best" list or something like that because it'd be relativity hard to decide with all the different factions on /a/.

there are various awards and accolades given out, and stuff like the oofuji prize recognize indie and arthouse stuff, whereas the best we have are like, random bloggers? we have less people to take seriously over here, so I find you get a lot of people hating on "the classics" and hyping up inane stuff
obviously I don't think that's a bad thing, I prefer this kinda diversity to a stagnant Spirited Away, Only Yesterday, Ghost in the Shell, the list goes on... type of deal

I knew about the awards but are those things taken seriously by otaku? Obviously I don't know anything about Japan but jerking over recommendation charts and making GOAT lists doesn't seem like something Japanese equivalents of /a/utists do. Anyway that /v/ chart isn't representative of a video game canon either, it's just a simple popularity poll.

my thought was that if /a/ were to take a poll it'd be fairly flat and useless outside of Eva at #1 since tastes aren't as homogenized as something like, a /lit/ poll (not to say that /lit/ has stagnant tastes, just a more clear idea of the "classic" and a bias towards those in voting)

yes, the shit airs at film and animation festivals and is normally reviews plus there are publications made on anime.

The thing is I know there were at least two polls like this but I don't have any of them saved. One was a general /a/ poll and the other one was a poll based on 3x3s. Pretty sure Monogatari and Evangelion were the top 2 in both of them. I also remember the 3x3 had no Code Geass while on the general one it was pretty high.
