Alright /wsr/ maybe y'all can help me?
So I'm new to computers and have a budget build going and the last things I need is the gpu and the monitor delivered, however I wanted to see if my motherboard's HDMI would connect to my tv?

But it doesn't display anything.. shouldnt a bios menu pop up? Power is getting to the motherboard because the fan on the processer is working and the led's on the case are turning on, the hard drive is on, ram is seeded evenly and I've tried different hdmi cables. Any ideas why it won't display?

Whats your specs? Could be that your CPU doesn't support on-board video.

Or it's possibly your TV isn't set to display HDMI or something along those lines.

well my TV runs other systems like a Wii U, Ps4, Xbox 360 through the same port so idk?
and here are my specs:
AMD X4 860K
Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H
G. Skill Sniper 4GB x2 1866Mhz
EVGA 500W
Seagate 1TB Hard Drive
so far.

Just as I thought, that CPU doesn't have on-board video. You'll need that GPU before you do anything.
