I missed out on a lot of games during my childhood and adolescence, so I want to play catch-up right now.
I'm looking for JRPGs from the 90s to mid 2000s (like 2006ish, though that's open to interpretation).
I realize that by requesting JRPGs, most recommendations will be SNES, PS1, and PS2 games, but I am open to other consoles as well.
If a game has a newer revision (such as a remake on a more recent console), they are welcome in this thread too.
To reiterate, I want recommendations for games of the following criteria:

>available in English (if it's a Japan-only release, then at least a patch that is mostly functional)

I was going to post this. FF6 and 7 are both my favorite final fantasy games with CT being my favorite RPG. The mother series is pretty fun too. Mother 1 however is notoriously difficult and it's grinding heavy.
