Hello, I need some help with my router, it's been really slow lately and crashes alot. I have a Motorola SBG6580 and I have TWX. It was always fast until it started to slow down and frequently crashes, i reboot it but it doesn't seem to help. I haven't been thinking of getting a new one but anything i can try to fix it?

Sounds like planned obsolescence. Try doing a factory reset if you can. If that doesn't work, it's a hardware problem.
will this erase everyone using the wifi or with my cable provider by any chance?

Doing a 30-30-30 reset will reset the router back to factory settings, which means you'll have to set it up again.
If you got this modem from your ISP, it will work just fine once you set it up again.

Probably renting, most ISPs are roping people into only leasing the hardware and usually don't support own-bought modems. But if they do, they have only a list of modems they like.

If you're renting it, then you have an easy solution. Call TWC or go into your local TWC store and tell them that your modem is not working and you want a new one. They will then give you a new modem after you return your old one.
