I'm more of a movie guy, but I loved this anime. Anything like it out there? I especially loved the Sci-Fi/Noir themes in it and I also liked the animation and character design. Help me /wsr/, you're my only hope.

You'd probably enjoy Samurai Champloo since it's very similar in style, yet no theme. A good sci Fi you could check out would be Psycho Pass.

Watch Ghost in the Shell instead of Psycho Pass.
If you aren't the kind of guy who doesn't get triggered if there are some tits on screen watch Gunbuster. It looks old and starts kind of meh but it's worth it.
If you want some action check out Sword of the Stranger, it's a movie and looks every bit as good as Bebop.

I recently watched Trigun for the first time ever. Several elements in it reminded me of Bebop, although it has more Sci-Fantasy/Space Western than any noir themes. Takes about 5-6 episodes to really get going, but it's worth a watch.

Zankyou no Terror sure as hell isn't.
Outlaw Star is also a space western but more on the wacky side, it's a lot of fun and it has a brown cat girl.

I'll second a recommendation for Outlaw Star.

space dandy
I just finished Michiko To Hatchin, another Watanabe piece. It's not as well known, but here's a small review:
>set in Brazil, which is pretty interesting by itself
>dat sweet mixture of Bossa Nova and funk
>action scenes remind me heavily of Cowboy Bebop
>something something vague yuri undertones
>Hatchin a cute
>story seems a bit predictable at times
>lots of flashbacks
>swear to god the guy they're after looks so much like Spike
>slower paced than Bebop
>beautiful intro
Give it a try, it's good stuff.

Baccano! if you like noir.
