Ok, so I have one of these 2TB drives to store video media on, and I want to plug it into my amp/tv to watch.

The amp (Sony STR-DN1050) says "unsupported format" when I plug the drive into the USB port. I've tried re-formatting into exFAT and still no luck. I'm not sure what what the amp actually supports despite going through the manual

I can plug the drive into the TV as NTFS or exFAT and it will recognize it but wont list my files as folders, instead I get a colossal list of 100000 files.

Is there anyway around this?

the amp would just do audio, and your drive needs to be FAT32 for the tv to see folders.
