I seem to enjoy anime where a normal MC meets an extraordinary OP girl, like a kami-sama, an angel/demon, a which or something like that. The girl is often tsundere or preferably kuudere and kinda smug :3

It doesn't really matter if the OP surpasses the girl during the anime.

Do you know what this trope is called? There are of course many variations, but I think this trope is quite popular in anime.

Some examples:
- Code Geass (because of pic related)
- Gate (Rory Mercury)
- Bleach (at least the beginning)
- Spice and Wolf
- Maoyuu Maou Yuusha

Feel free to add more examples, there are many more.

It's probably not as spot on as I hoped for, but it certainly goes in the right direction. But I think "sudden girlfriend appearance" is a really funny way to describe a certain type of anime.

This description sums it up pretty much. I think it's better than "sudden girfriend appearance" for what I was looking for. Of course both themes are very close to each other.

Thanks for the other recommendations so far. Currently I'm watching Tasogare Otome x Amnesia. It goes pretty much in the same direction.
