Can anyone suggest a decent anime with gay characters involved? You know, not yaoi, a legit anime that just happens to have one or two gay characters, and the whole plot doesn't revolve around the fact that they're gay.
Pic related. Bulat is a decent example, tho I was extremely dissapointed that the plot didn't evolve a bulat-tatsumi relationship. I kinda shipped them!
Samurai Flamenco is the best one I can think of.
Sailor Moon has some gay villains.
I think Gatchaman Crowds had at least one gay character.
Revolutionary Girl Utena has guys in sexual relationships together, but they're all bi. Same with Shinsekai yori.
Evangelion has brief gay subtext between two characters.
Sakamichi no Apollon has possible gay subtext.
Then there's a bunch like Gurren Lagann and Fullmetal Alchemist that just have gay characters as silly gag caricatures.
Shinsekai no yori has a couple of gay scenes and is a great anime overall
