Here's some part of a post I made about image sourcing I made a few weeks ago. We can use this as foundation.

Generally, iqbd and SauseNAO are the most reliable for anime images.
If the piece of artwork is of western origin, it can be difficult to find since some *boorus have rules against hosting western images therefore the iqbd tool is ineffective in finding the source.
Tinyeye has been shit in every single time I've used it. Yandex is a good alternative to google's image search if it returns nothing.
If you want to find the source of a video, just printscreen and crop the important part then upload it.
