For an non-comedic [or at least not comedy-centric] action series, there's Noragami/Owari no Seraph/K, which are all sequels, and Gundam IBO or Concrete Revolutio as standalones

I doubt you watched ninja slayer, but it was unironically funny after a certain point despite the fact that it was animated in flash half the time.
