Hey /wsr/ I come for your advice.
I'm majoring in Network Security, and I have quite a bit of a stash built up. Is it worth buying a $1,100 MSI laptop(16GB RAM, 2TB HDD, 526 GB SSD, i7 quad core) for running multiple Host-Only networks for pentesting training?
Thanks.
If you want to set up a training lab, I don't recommend a laptop. If you insist, I don't see anything spectacularly wrong about your choice of laptop but make sure you've done your comparisons on other similarly specced models.
Are you planning to do anything else with it?

hell no man, if you want to spend on a pc, build a desktop with that money. if you want a laptop, you shouldn't be spending over 500 bucks imo. I wouldn't even try to go over 400
