is ghost in the shell a good bigginer anime? im most instrested in Space/Future type stuff.
to an extent yes, the plot is bit heavier than others but if you pay attention you should be able to follow it
some noteworthy alternatives would be gundam, ergo proxy, or cowboy bebop; all laudable pieces in the sci-fi genre

No, but Macross certainly is. Plenty of bigginings in that anime.

Yes, it is. If you like cyberpunk and are interested in concepts regarding transhumanism you'll love it. Serial Experiments Lain was better imo, but it's a lot more surreal and has less action, so only if you're into that.
Mardock Scramble
Ghost is good , but only if you are a good listener. You have to pay attention to every detail or you won't understand.
Every anime is a good "beginner anime".
I seriously don't understand this line of thinking. I've finished like 150 shows and I still haven't seen any of the "must-see classics", besides maybe Lain and Eva.

Original film is fantastic, Stand Alone Complex is a good series. I'm not a fan of the reboot stuff. 2.0 (the second film) is pretty fucking surreal, very interesting art.
